About Me
I am a second-year Ph.D. student in the Education Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara, focusing on science education. I was a former middle school science teacher in Clovis, California for five years. I obtained a bachelor of science degree in biology, a single-subject teaching credential in biological sciences, and a master of arts in teaching from California State University, Fresno. I obtained a second master's from the University of California Santa Barbara and am pursuing my Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Climate Sciences and Climate Justice.
My research takes place in the context of middle school formal classroom settings that investigate the areas of climate change education, student modeling through game development, and student environmental literacy development.
